This project is different from the ordinary Periscope. In Ordinary Periscope one can only see what is happening above the ground sitting ina bunker. But in the present innovative design one can know what is happening in the next room also.
Working Principle:
In this innovative Periscope we can see the object by placing an opaque substance also in the gap. How this is possible? When we see through the periscope, the rays from the object travel through the first mirror and get reflected by the second mirror which is arranged at 45 degrees angle. These rays are then reflected by the third mirror which is also arranged in the same 45 degrees angle. In the same way the rays are reflected through the fourth mirror which is arranged at 45 degrees angle. Through the Fourth mirror the rays reach the naked eye. In this way we see the object.
Principle: The principle of magical periscope is “ laws of reflection” and it works on ‘re-reflection”.
Laws of Reflection:
The incident ray, reflected ray and the normal at the point of incidence all lie in the same plane. Angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection.
